During the summer of 2016, two like-minded women, with innate style only surpassed by their love for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. came together to create The Para Girls. Malika was initiated into the Alpha Delta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Morgan State University in the fall of 2009. Diamon was initiated into the Delta Mu chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. at Temple University in the spring of 2010. Throughout their undergraduate careers, both women were known for their style and their love for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Over the years, social media became a platform for them to express their style and their love for their sorority, leading them to gain thousands of followers. Their followers, many of them being women of Alpha Kappa Alpha inspired them to develop something special and unique for the members of their organization. Together, Diamon and Malika have combined their stylish backgrounds to bring Greek Paraphernalia back to life.
Greek paraphernalia is meant to be a symbol of pride and love, however; it should not be excluded from the everyday outfit. Diamon and Malika are in a position to create unparalleled apparel while rewriting old fashion rules.
The Para Girls’ mission is to revitalize Greek Paraphernalia with a chic, modern and timeless twist that will transcend from chapter to chapter for years to come.
Diamon and Malika take their sisterhood seriously. They take their style seriously. Their love for style translates into an apparel line that reflects their true mission: to provide the women of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. with Greek Paraphernalia that is as timeless and classy as they are.
